Welcome to All,

I bid you, Dear Friends, come across my threshold with a light heart and a listening ear. Please join me with a cup of tea, enjoy my needle work and listen to my tales of Blackstone. The cottage is 300years old and is now part of the main house, it is my favorite place. The studio is above the stables and dear Kip, my black cat, keeps me company as I dream and sew. I am truly a lover of past times, you will see this as I add pictures of my work. Please visit often, you are always welcome.

That which Soothes the Soul

When my world becomes frayed around the edges, I search out my needle, patterns and fabric. I find a quiet spot for Seumas and I by the fire and spend hours counting squares and transfering the pattern to fiddlers cloth that is my favorite. I hope you enjoy seeing these photos as much as I the stitiching.

  1. Love that!!!! Is there a pattern available or is it your own creation?

  2. Thank you, I love the verse. I found the pattern in a local shop but it is by Country Stitches. www.countrystitchesonline.com in Iowa. Cross stitch and old samplers are my secret passion. I feel a connection to those that stitched them.

  3. Thanks so much for the info. I will get right over there and order it. I enjoy your blog.
    Have a wonderful New Year!!!
